Cache Maintenance Reminder
For many of us it is a time for seasonal change. Whether you are picking up Fall leaves or experiencing the first signs of Spring, now is a good time to check on your geocaches. Performing regular cache maintenance is important in ensuring a great geocaching experience for everyone.

Here are some important things to keep in mind:
- Make sure that that your container is watertight and that the contents are free from debris.
- Replace the container if the current one is not holding up in its environment.
- If any of the cache contents are wet, dry them off or replace them.
- If winter is approaching, make sure you include a pencil in your cache since pens can freeze up.
- Check your logbook and verify that there is enough space left for signatures.
- If your cache will not be accessible due to seasonal weather conditions, note this on the cache page.
- Verify any travel bugs that are listed in your cache, mark those that have been listed in there for a while and aren't in the cache as "missing."

Eu que vou passar o primeiro inverno com caches ao relento, já tinha tido vislumbres de taparueres alagados :wink:

e logbooks todos desgraçados.

Pois. Muito bem visto, ja o tinha estado a ler no mail.
Ainda na 4ªFeira estive a colocar um saco em condições na minha unica cache que não o tinha e onde ja tinham sido reportadas infiltrações... Entre esta semana e a seguinte vou verificar como estão as outras...

Muito bem lembrado. Para quem se iniciou no verão este conselho vem mesmo a calhar, uma vez que é o primeiro inverno das caches. Vamos lá a ver se resistem.

Para além da cache do Senhor Roubado, alguém tem conhecimento de mais alguma que tenha sido afectada com as cheias do fim de semana passado :?:

Pois é, o João já vou deu a triste notícia... vou recolocar rapidinho... mas talvez deixe passar este fim-de-semana que também se prevê bastante molhado.
Aparentemente a Só Eu Sei também foi com as águas... mas pode ter sido nabice minha em não a ter encontrado. Dei um toque ao owner.
