Olá, estou a iniciar-me neste mundo fantástico do geocaching e por isso nada melhor de que começar por aqui.

Pretendo comprar o Garmin GPS eTrex Vista C mas em New York.

Como tinha algumas dúvidas em questionei a Garmin a qual respondeu:

The units are effectively the same, the differences being that the units sold in the US are supplied with the Americas basemap. This will effect the performance of the unit, just some opf the information shown on the map screen.

In Europe the units are sold with the Atlantic basemap, of Europe and Africa.

Seja como for, é sempre um bom preço. Aproveitas não só a diferença de preço, como a valorização do Euro face ao Dolar. Quanto aos mapas, se comprares a cartografia europeia, o basemap é substituído.

Um conselho, não venhas com a caixinha do GPS toda pipi nas malas.

Mais uma coisinha... O Vista Cx não tem Sirf III. A comprar um novo, com algum dinheiro, investiria sempre num.
